CCTV installation in Harare

CCTV Installation

A camera system is only worth what its footage is worth. We start with a free site survey: we walk the property with you, find the approach routes and blind spots, and work out how many cameras you actually need — usually fewer than you were last quoted, in better positions. You then get a fixed written quote listing every camera, the recorder, the cabling and the labour, with nothing added afterwards.

On installation day we fit weatherproof HD or IP cameras, run cable in trunking or conduit rather than across your walls, set up the recorder with the storage you need for your retention period, and configure live viewing on your phone before we leave. We test every channel at night as well as in daylight, label the system, hand over your own passwords, and back the workmanship for twelve months.

Popular Question

Fewer than most people expect, if they are placed properly. A standard three-bedroom home is usually well covered by four to six cameras: the gate or driveway, the front and back doors, and the darkest side of the yard. Shops and yards depend on sightlines and tills rather than square metres. We confirm the exact number on the survey and show you the view each camera will give before you commit to anything.
Only if the system is specified for it, which is why we quote backup as standard rather than as an afterthought. A small UPS or battery pack keeps the cameras, recorder and router running through an outage, so you keep both recording and remote viewing. The same applies to gate motors: a backup battery means the gate still opens when the power does not come back for hours.
Yes, and we set it up for you before we leave site rather than emailing you a manual. You get live view and playback on Android and iOS, and on a laptop if you want it. We configure the recorder and router, test the connection on your own handset, and show you how to find a clip and save it — which is the part that matters when you need to hand footage to the police or your insurer.
Most four to six camera homes are done in a single day, including configuration and handover. Larger properties, long cable runs, or jobs that combine cameras with an intercom and a gate motor usually take two days. We give you the expected duration in the quote, arrive when we say we will, and clean up before we go.
